The AUTISM CHARITY RUN 2016 is held to raise funds in aid of Special Education for Autism, offered by Calvary Victory Centre (CVC) located in Sutera Utama, Johor Bahru. In addition, the event shall serve to promote public awareness of autism, which is an intellectual disability which affects one in every 167 persons.
CVC has been providing Special Education Programmes for autistic children and young adults since 1998 at subsidized costs. Over 650 pupils have been helped over these 18 years. With increasing operating costs, a major fund-raising event such as this needs to be organised to garner support from our local community.
The AUTISM CHARITY RUN 2016 shall start and end at Sutera Square in Taman Sutera Utama, Johor Bahru, along a 5km route. Participants of all ages are welcome to walk, jog or run. Everyone who completes the route shall win a Finishing Medal. In addition there shall be prizes for the top runners!! Come with your family and friends for a healthy workout and support a charitable cause.
