“Walk With Me” is like a child’s simple request to take a walk with him. But it can mean a lot of more. At CVC,”Walk With Me” means staying alongside a child to journey with him through the formative years of his life, training and equipping him to overcome the deficits of autism.
“Walk with Me” 2019 is a charity family walk organised by CVC to raise funds in aid of her Special Education services and a school building extension project to have more classrooms and facilitles. In addition, it serves to promote a greater public awareness of Autism – a disability which affects one in every 167 persons.
CVC has been providing Special Education for autistic children in Johor Bahru since 1998 at a subsidized cost, where over 700 pupils have been helped in the past 20 years. As such, major fund raising events such as this have to be held from time to time to garner support from our local community.
“Walk With Me” 2019 shall start and end at Bangunan PKK @ The Education Hub of Sutera Utama, Johor Bahru. Entire families are most welcome to participate In this easy 2km leisurely and fun walk, where there will be a variety of fun stations set up to make it a happy and memorable event! At the Finish Point of the Walk, there will be refreshments, goodle gift bags and more fun stalls.
